Musical Portrait of NOMAD GROOVES aka Maurizio Lee

Born in Colonia, Uruguay he began to develop his taste, interest in music and studies of instruments at a very young age. Ever since he has been fascinated by different cultures and their beats and rhythms.

Gripped by the urge to discover more NOMAD GROOVES, Maurizio moved to Barcelona, ​​Spain, an international melting pot, influenced by various musical trends and artists. In 2004 his artistic journey began. Seized by the dream to turn passion into profession he went to Costa Brava. As life goes on he stayed another 9 years, became a vinyl player spinning records in one of the most popular nightclubs of the electric szene such as the 900 House Club. The artist Maurizio Lee was born, ready to express his musical talent and introduce underground style to the nightlife in Spain. He made himself a name in greater Barcelona and since 2012 he produces in collaboration with the Label Murciano Mona Records Spain.

2015 it was time to leave the big city life behind and venture into unexplored territories. Fuerteventura a spanish volcanic island, which is still underexplored from the party scene, has aroused his interest. He became a member of Samsâra 108Crew, a former group of friends connected through their passion for Minimal, MIcrohouse & Underground Music and today the best known sound system of electronic music on the island so called IN THE MIX! Music & Culture (created in 2019) hosting major events. Quickly their partys with international guests DJs became so successful that today they only work with exclusive guest lists.

His exquisite selection of rhythms and elegant digital sounds, his exuberant passion for what he does, as well as his fresh taste and fun personality undoubtedly make Maurizio Lee an esteemed artist and host with an excellent reputation among DJs and highly regarded by the local and international community.
