Besides his passion for the turntables, Nicola Zanni aka HUNZED discovered the power of music production in 1997.
He then started a collaboration with friends and Marco Lys . Together they realized Hunzed’s first single in 2003:
"LE DIGITAL - HARVEY HUNZED PRODUCTION", released on the label of JOE T VANNELLI (Clubbi'n).
The track received success and has been placed on various compilations including Supalova 7 and has been played by many top
international DJs including PETE TONG.
With Marco Lys, Nicola continued to produce other songs like TAKE ME AWAY and AWAY that were subsequently published on
labels such as SONY, USED and ABUSED, with the single later remixed by Fonzarelli, My Digital Enemy and MYNC.
After that HUNZED got contacted again by Joe T. Vannelli to start a collaboration that led him to do other projects on his label and in
2006 he produced the single "INTERLUDE" in a bootleg with his friend Davide Rizzatti that got remixed by TOM NOVY and played
by some of the world's best DJs in clubs like SPACE, Ibiza and at the WINTER MUSIC CONFERENCE in Miami by NIC FANCIULLI.
In 2007, Gianni Coletti asked him to remix the European chart-buster "GIMME FANTASY".
In 2008, HUNZED became one of the resident DJs of the LA NOCHE ESCABROSA radio show broadcasted on RADIO DEEJAY.
In mid-2006 HUNZED began his career as a solo artist and continued to produce many tracks for various Italian and international labels.
In 2014, Mendo asked HUNZED to release the track SHEETA on Mendo’s label, Clarisse Records. The song developed into one of
the biggest summer hits of 2014-2015 and got charted in Beatport Top 10 for many months. Mendo himself delivered a quality remix
of “SHEETA” which got played by some of the best DJ’s in the world and peaked at position number 3 on the Beatport top tracker2014-2015.
Thanks to the success of SHEETA, the track was re-released on Ultra Records, and with the power and reach of the label, SHEETA
attained even more recognition.
In November 2015 his new single CALA SALADA was released on Terminal M along with 2 remixes from David Mayer (Kainemusik)
and Luca M & Just 2 , and immediately entered in the high rankings of Beatport.
In 2016-2017, HUNZED produced SA CALETA & MAGENTA with Wally Lopez for the label Glasgow Underground, along with a remix by Paul Ursin,
The solid production journey along with his passion for Djing has put HUNZED on the map as one of the top performers from Italy in
the international underground dance music scene.Actually is part of the Spanish Roster of Decibel Booking Djs.
